European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT) conference in Madrid

EAGT organised European conference in Madrid this year's September. Title of the conference was Gestalt Therapy as an Engine of Change.  The conference took four days and was boosted by very interesting symposia, panel discussions, posters presentation and workshops.

The keynotes were done by Gianni Francesetti  and Margherita Spagnuolo Lobb. Mr. Francesetti and and his speech at auditorium on Field perspectives in gestalt therapy and current clinical issue was a blast. Standing ovations followed. Ms. Spagnuolo Lobb was a main participant at panel discussion  held on topic Gestalt Approach to Current Discomfort.

Workshops I attended were: God has no personality , Gestalt Integrative Framework for Couple Therapy, Artificial Intelligence applied as support during Panic Attacks, Embodied Spirituality in Gestalt Therapy, Character and Sexuality, Ecology, Ethics and Human rights.

The opening ceremony and closing ceremony were moderated by two therapists in a very cheeky and relaxed atmosphere and both had an Empty Chair as a symbol of gestalt therapy as a hair decoration (photo).

The conference has an instagram account https://www.instagram.com/gestaltconference2023/ so feel free to have a look for more info and more pictures.
